The fact that i like Spain means that I like all of it's athletes...
And one of my favourite is none other than
Rafael Nadal!
Enjoy the summary of the
Wimbledon Men's Final 2008 HEREGreat, now I'm consider free, so lets start talking about my favourite tennis player~
RAFAEL NADAL

Rafa is a Spanish professional tennis player, who has won

Wimbledon in 2008).
He is currently ranked world number two, a position he has held for a record 156 consecutive weeks
*.
From April 2005 to May 2007,
Nadal won a record 81 consecutive clay court matches before being defeated by
Federer in the 2007
Hamburg Masters final.
This is the longest winning streak of any male player on a single surface in the open era.
Nadal is undefeated at the
French Open, having won all 28 matches and four single titles he has played.
These achievements have led some to regard
Nadal as the greatest clay-court player in the history of the sport.

I 1st notice
Nadal was when he started playing doubles with partner
Feliciano Lopez, by that time he still not as powerful as what you see today from him. His early years was not something he can be proud of with his seemingly immature topspin and some newbie style of running-.-". But i was attracted by his way of playing which was using left hand instead of the widely use right hand. & some part of me shout he's going to be a legend one day.

And he proves me right....
......

I've became more drawn into him as days goes, his "masculiness" really shout like a
bull and his
running and
determination really scream for what it seems as a sure winner with every shot he made especially his
RETURN, DAMN!
His returns are the best from what i see, and making a return that turns out to be a winner was his trademark. With
consistency roam around him, it is hard for him not to win a grand slam at all.

Roger Federer, the legend of our time, his rivalry with
Rafa is one of the best in the start of millennium, who can deny, their match have been nothing but magnificent(minus the one Roger lost to Rafa in the
Roland Garros 2008 which he suck in that game) Especially the match between them that happened recently in the
Wimbledon 2008, i recommend all of you go check it out, the British press claims it as the best finals of all time(Seriously it worth a watch
^^)
As a fan of
Rafa, i would like him to surpass
Pete Sampras record of 14 grand slam
during his years.
Rafa got 5 now and i believe he can do it as long as he is injury free. May be after surpassing
Pete,
Rafa can start surpassing
Roger's record which i think
Roger will surpass
Pete eventually.... NOT! We'll see...
^^
